Central Park: This large park is located in the heart of Burnaby and offers a wide range of activities for visitors, including tennis courts, baseball diamonds, a pitch and putt golf course, and a large off-leash dog area. The park features 2 large ponds, one on the South end and one on the North end. The park is close to the urban sprawl of Metrotown. The park is accessible by Patterson Skytrain and busses.

It also has a large lake that is popular for fishing and boating. On the north end is a pier which extends into the lake, this conservation area is a hidden gem for those who love to bird watch. There is plenty of wild life such as coyotes, lynx, beavers, foxes and sometimes even bears.
  3. Deer Lake Park: This park is located on the shores of Deer Lake and offers a variety of recreational activities, including swimming, boating, and fishing. It also has a nature trail that winds through the park’s natural surroundings.
  4. Confederation Park: This park is located in the Heights neighborhood of Burnaby and features a large playground, a skatepark, and an outdoor swimming pool. It also has a playground and sports fields.
  5. Robert Burnaby Park: This park is located on the border of Burnaby and New Westminster and offers a variety of activities, including a playground, a nature trail, and a large off-leash dog area. There is a stream which runs through the park which drains from Burnaby lake. The stream is filled with life such as crayfish and cutthroat trout.
  6. Burnaby Mountain Conservation Area: This park is located on the top of Burnaby Mountain and offers a variety of hiking trails and scenic viewpoints. It also has picnic areas and playgrounds.
  7. Barnet Marine Park: This park is located on the shores of Burrard Inlet and offers a variety of recreational activities, including swimming, boating, crabbing and fishing. It also has a playground and picnic areas. This is a very popular park and gets quite busy during the summer with families coming to BBQ and picnic.
  8. Burnaby Mountain Park: This park is located on the top of Burnaby Mountain and offers a variety of hiking trails and scenic viewpoints. It also has picnic areas and playgrounds.
  9. Burnaby Mountain Golf Course: This golf course is located on the top of Burnaby Mountain and offers a challenging 18-hole course with stunning views of the city and mountains. There are many trails in this area and tons of wild life. There are streams which run down from Burnaby mountain which are filled with small minnows, coyotes are abundant in the area and some rare sightings of bears.
